Chevrolet Cruze and Orlando on recall

Since December, Chevrolet has recalled 4,504 Cruzes and Orlandos for a transmission separation problem.

The Cruze of the 2010 vintage must go through the workshops for a risk of separation of the driveshaft.


In addition to the Spark, whose gearbox support can break, the Chevrolet Cruze and Orlando also experience transmission failure.

In difficult corners, the driveshaft might become disengaged causing loss of motor skillsand a complete stop of the vehicle on the road.

However, the manufacturer specifies that the braking and steering control is not affected.

The workshops have been instructed to replace the shaft on 4,504 vehicles including the Cruze from the 2010 vintage and the Orlando from the 2011-2012 vintages.
