For the first time since 2004, the developers of MMO EVE Online have decided to increase the subscription price.
According to the post blog, CCP cited “global trends affecting the overall cost of operation and taking into account multi-year inflation” as the reason for the increase in cost. In addition, the increase in the cost of a subscription will allow you to continue investing in the game, for further development and evolution.
The changes will take effect in less than a month, on May 17. They will affect both the Omega subscription and the value of the PLEX currency. In the first case, two new options will be added – for 2 months and 24 months. In the case of the currency, it is waiting for a complete restructuring.
Now only prices in dollars are known:
-
Monthly subscription will increase from $15 to $20
-
For 3 months, the cost will rise from $39 to $48
-
For 6 months, the cost will rise from $72 to $87
-
Annual Subscription – $131 to $150
Developers will tell more details during EVE Fanfest.
