Marine Le Pen spoke this Sunday evening shortly following 8 p.m. from the Armenonville pavilion located in the Bois de Boulogne, in Paris. The far-right candidate finished second in the presidential election in France with an estimated score between 41.8 and 42.2% of the vote. A defeat that the candidate of the National Rally turns into a success. Marine Le Pen felt that “the result represents in itself a resounding victory“
“I extend my deepest gratitude to all those who trusted me in the first round and all those who by the millions joined us in the second.“, she said once more. And to add: “My thanks go particularly to our compatriots from the provinces and the countryside, but also from overseas who largely placed me at the head of the second round with an extraordinary force which honors me and touches me sincerely.“
Speaking directly to her electorate, she adds: “This too forgotten France, we, we do not forget it. […] Our will to defend the French is further strengthened.“

Continuing on the campaign for the legislative elections next June, she affirms that “a great political recomposition is emerging“. And to conclude, following the name of Emmanuel Macron was booed by the crowd: “Tonight, I say it once more, I will never abandon the French.“
