This April 24, 2022, he received on the set of his show Laurent Voulzy et Hugues Aufray to evoke their return on stage during concerts planned in the cathedrals and churches of France. Installed in his armchair, the interpreter of Santiano took the opportunity to return to his meeting with his companion Muriela few minutes before the latter joins him on the set to discuss their romantic relationship.
A meeting that dates back to 1995
Since 1951, Hugues Aufray has been married to the dancer Hélène with whom there were two daughters. But since 2005, he shares his life with a certain Muriel, which he presented to the public in 2021 during his visit to The secret song. A few minutes later, Muriel arrived on the set of Can’t wait for Sunday and confided in the 92-year-old artist. “He’s a wonderful man. He is very positive all the time, in everything he does. He already painted and sculpted me“, she reveals regarding him. However, when she spoke with him for the first time in this famous TGV, if she was happy to meet a known personality, she would actually have preferred to meet her idol, Jean-Jacques Goldman, a good friend of the singer. But no matter, today, Hugues Aufray and Muriel continue to live their beautiful story even 27 years later: “In fact, I’ve never been bored with Hugues, I’ve known him since 1995 and I’ve never been bored with you.”
