What is the “Ghabga” meal… and why are the families of the eastern region and some Gulf countries keen to hold it during Ramadan? – Video

Al-Marsad newspaper: Ghabga is considered one of the meals in the month of Ramadan, which falls between breakfast and suhoor, and the people in the eastern region and some Gulf countries are keen to hold it during the holy month, especially in the last ten days.

Despite the passing of successive generations in eastern families, they still maintain this Ramadan custom, as it is a tradition that societies in the Gulf countries have known and used to revive since the beginning of the twentieth century, where families meet with friends and neighbors to strengthen social ties in the blessed month of Ramadan.

The meal is rich in Ramadan and popular dishes, and with the spread of the culture of Ramadan restaurants and tents, many government agencies invite their employees to it.

One of the citizens said: “This is our beginning from the days when we were in high school as students, we used to meet and settle Ghabqa every day at one, until it developed and became in the neighborhoods and between us as family and friends, and it became an indispensable heritage, neither we nor anyone else, customs and traditions that we try to continue with us and recommend to our children “.
