It has been revealed that Tesla CEO Elon Musk asked Bill Gates regarding ‘short selling’.
According to CNBC, an economic media outlet on the 23rd (local time), Musk asked Gates for a short sale of Tesla stock worth 620 billion won.
‘Short selling’ is a trading technique that anticipates a decline in the share price of a specific stock and proceeds with it.
It is a method of borrowing stocks of stocks whose stock price is expected to go down, selling them, and then repurchasing them at a low price when the stock price actually goes down, thereby making a profit by repaying the borrowed stock.
Musk recently attended a TED event, a global lecture platform, and said, “I heard regarding Gates’ short selling of Tesla on the spot.
He then claimed that he did not circulate the conversation he had with Gates and that it appeared to have spread through a friend of a friend.

The captured photo included Musk asking Gates if he had a short position in Tesla for $500 million.
To Musk’s question, Gates replied, “I’m sorry, but we didn’t close short selling.” He later changed the subject to discuss philanthropy with Musk.
Musk replied, “You have a huge short position on Tesla, which is doing the most to tackle climate change.”
“Your climate change philanthropy cannot be taken seriously under these circumstances,” he added.
Musk later mocked Gates by posting an emoji depicting a man pregnant on Twitter along with a picture of Gates with a belly.

Musk: “I can’t get the corona vaccine… Bill Gates is an idiot”
Musk previously declared that he would not be vaccinated once morest COVID-19, calling Bill Gates a “idiot.”
Last year, Musk criticized economic lockdown measures to prevent the spread of the epidemic, arguing that “even if a vaccine becomes readily available, neither me nor my family will get the vaccine.”
Musk, meanwhile, expressed his feelings for Bill Gates, who criticized him, calling him “a jerk.”
Bill Gates, who previously sponsored the development of a coronavirus vaccine, said Musk didn’t know much regarding the coronavirus.
