Al-Marsad Sports: The Saudi Football Association announced that Al-Nasr Club submitted an official complaint to the Professional Committee once morest Al-Ittihad Club, some of its administrators and one of its players.
And the statement of the federation stated as follows: “The Professionalism and Players Conditions Committee was aware of the existence of a pending case with FIFA related to the same parties, it requested the legal department of the Saudi Federation to inquire from the competent authority at FIFA regarding determining the jurisdiction to consider the complaint submitted.”
He added: “FIFA stated in its response on April 19 that cases of international dimension in which one of the parties is a non-Saudi player, even if he is registered with the same federation to which the club belongs, FIFA is competent to consider them.” And FIFA indicated in its response that the part related to the club and the player is within the jurisdiction of their judicial authority, which is currently looking into a similar dispute, and that this case appears to have similarities with regard to the parties and the subject matter.
Accordingly, the Professionalism and Players Situation Committee has begun to complete its progress in the complaint in the part that falls within its competence according to the regulations.
