Mido: The Al-Ahly player represents 70% of the team’s strength

Ahmed Hossam Mido, former coach of Zamalek FC, praised Mohamed El-Shennawy, goalkeeper’s capabilities Al Ahly Pointing to the great role he played in his team’s qualification for the African Champions League semi-finals.

Al-Ahly was able to qualify for the semi-finals following overthrowing Moroccan Raja, who lost 3-2 in the aggregate of the first and second leg matches in the African Champions League quarter-finals.

Mido said during the “Remontada” program that he presents on “Al-Mehwar” channel: “We all agreed that the result of the first leg was worrying for Musimani and the Al-Ahly players who were men and fought in yesterday’s confrontation and had great determination to meet once more.”

He added, “Al-Ahly has the best goalkeeper in Africa with him. Mohammed Al Shinnawy 70% of the Al-Ahly team’s strength, with its focus, leadership and very strong personality, gave confidence to all the players around it.”

He continued: “Al-Shennawi is a leader in the true sense of the word, and the matter is not limited to his saving important balls only, but his statements before the match were a defining point for Al-Ahly.”

He continued: “Congratulations to Al-Ahly because you have a great goalkeeper, who is the best who came in Egypt following Essam El-Hadary, and he has a great period in the stadiums because he has great poise and focus.”
