Mr. Pornchai Thiravej, Director-General of the Fiscal Policy Office (FPO) revealed the results of net government revenue collection in the first half of fiscal year 2022 (October 2021 – March 2022). The government collected net income of 1,091,156. million baht, higher than the estimate in the budget document 68,890 million baht or 6.7 percent and 6.8 percent higher than the same period last year
This was mainly due to the revenue collection of the Revenue Department that was higher than the estimated 100 billion baht due to VAT collection. corporate income tax and higher personal income tax following the expansion of imports. and income of juristic persons and natural persons from the economic condition that has begun to recover respectively
while the revenue collection of the Excise Department is low than estimates due to the reduction of the excise tax rate on diesel to temporarily alleviate the suffering of the people from the continuously rising world crude oil price along with the epidemic situation of COVID-19 Still affecting consumption in the first quarter of the fiscal year.
