Nintendo is preparing to offer players emulated versions of its classic Game Boy titles through the Switch Online service, according to leaks.
An apparent emulator leak shared by Twitter user Trash_Bandatcoot shows that Nintendo plans to add Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance titles to the Nintendo Switch.
The subscription service currently offers members a selection of classic games from the SNES, NES and Nintendo 64, as well as those from the Sega Genesis.
According to the leak, emulators for the Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance have already been created and are fully functional, barring some performance issues.

This might include classic games like Super Mario Land, Link’s Awakening, Zelda: The Minish Cap, WarioWare, and Metroid Fusion, which have reportedly already been tested by Nintendo using the emulators.
Trash_Bandatcoot also shared screenshots of the emulators in action, showing the colorful graphics of the Game Boy coming to life.
There’s no indication of when Nintendo might add the new emulators to Switch Online, but the fact that they’re reportedly working on it is very promising for fans of the classic games.

If the leaks are accurate, it would confirm rumors that circulated last year regarding Nintendo’s plans to add emulators for two of its handheld consoles to Switch Online.
Nintendo podcaster ‘Nate the Hate’ said in August that the Japanese gaming giant would start releasing Game Boy and Game Boy Color games in the near future.
The rumors were said to have been corroborated with company insiders by industry website Nintendo Life.
Classic games and consoles can fetch a handsome sum on eBay. If you have an old boxed N64 game, it’s worth checking out its value, as some titles can fetch thousands of dollars on the used market.
