This is how D1 stores praised him this week, when he reported on his three new openings in Manaure (Guajira), Puerto Asís (Putumayo) and Escobal (Cúcuta).
“Thus, D1 confirms its purpose of continuing to deliver high-quality products at affordable prices to all consumers.becoming the first purchase option for all Colombian households,” the company explained in a statement.
The company also explained how it has achieved this new milestone of reaching 2,000 stores, a number that very few companies have achieved.
“The strategy of putting the consumer as the only inspiration for operations has made D1 present in more than 450 municipalities, improving the shopping experience every day and bringing the best quality products to all its customers. These actions, in turn, have managed to influence the food sovereignty of the country and the economic development of the regions, since 90% of its suppliers are national”, added the company.

D1 reached 2,000 stores in Colombia
The company extolled that the value of its brand is to positively influence society by generating more than 17,000 direct jobs for Colombians in 28 departments, bringing development to urban and rural areas of the country, and has achieved sales, by 2021, for more than 10.9 billion pesos.
As of December 31 of the same year, D1 created more than 2,600 new jobs, where 51% went to women, mostly in operational positions in stores and distribution centers.
“From D1, we want continue building a bond of trust with consumers, offering them high-quality products at affordable pricesand with an assortment that meets the basic needs of the consumer, in the same way we continue working on the expansion to get closer to all Colombian homes. Credibility, as well as trust, become the most important asset of D1”, explained Christian Bäbler Font, President of D1.
Finally, the company stressed that the opening of its 2,000th store is an achievement which is possible thanks to the support of all its collaborators, suppliers and Colombian households that buy and visit its stores on a daily basis.
