After a factory fire in Murakami City, where six people died in February, the confectionery maker “Sanko Confectionery,” which has stopped production, has taken safety improvement measures and has been working on each factory since mid-next month. It was revealed that production will be resumed in sequence.

In February, a fire that broke out at the Arakawa factory of “Sanko Confectionery” in Murakami City burned down a part of a two-story building with a steel frame of regarding 8800 square meters, and a female part-time employee who was in charge of cleaning work 4 A total of six people died, including one and two male employees of the company.
After the fire, the company stopped production at all factories, but on the 21st, it was announced on the official website that production will be resumed for each factory from the middle of next month.

After that, the implementation status of a series of improvement measures will be evaluated for each factory, and it will be decided to restart production.

The police are working to identify the cause of the fire and are investigating whether there were any problems with the company’s safety management, such as fire prevention and evacuation systems, on the suspicion of accidental fatalities in business.
