The Summer Festival sold out

The 125,000 regular passes for the Festival d’été de Québec, which went on sale April 6, all found buyers 75 days before the start of the event. A first since 2017.

“We didn’t expect that. To say otherwise would be a big lie. It gives us energy. It was not easy to restart the machine following two years of pandemic, “rejoiced the director general Anne Hudon.

In 2017, all passes were sold three days before the start of the edition. In 2012, the FEQ was sold out during the event. The 2022 quick sale is a record.

Public in need

The organization had a first sign of the success of its next edition during the Desjardins presale. Available passes were gone in 1hr 9mins.

“We had, following two years of a pandemic, certain doubts. The response was very good. We then had a second signal with strong sales on the first day of the official sale,” said Ms. Hudon.

“People ran out of shows and live art. This is what explains this enthusiasm. We feel it with our shows at the Imperial Bell, which are going very well. We feel a return to normal. It’s positive,” noted the Director General.

Ms. Hudon confirms that for reasons of comfort, there will be no additional passes on sale.

Festival-goers who weren’t fast enough will be able to catch up, on April 25, with the sale, in limited quantities, of Gold and Silver Avant-stage Zone and Bell Signature Zone cards.

Anne Hudon specifies that the new Le Jardin zone, set up on the Plains, will allow 300 people to buy an individual electronic ticket, for each evening and which will allow access to the other stages by general admission.

These tickets go on sale April 25 at noon.
