The new generation of Sony’s WH-1000XM line of noise-canceling headphones has been leaked, and it looks like they will be a design evolution, with some improvements to a family of headphones that, to many, is already basically perfectas we mentioned in our review from previous model.
And it is that Sony’s noise-canceling headphones are one of the most loved in this range. No one seems to have an active noise cancellation (ANC) system like this line from Sony, beating out Bose and the AirPods Max. For years the changes in its appearance have been subtle, but this time it seems that it will be different.
The Sony WH-1000XM5 have been leaked thanks to the German medium TechnikNewswho have published images of the headphones in their two colors and some of the features that we can expect from this new generation.
The XM5s are expected to have a battery life of up to 40 hours with each charge (they have not specified it, but this is surely without active noise cancellation; with ANC the duration, logically and as in each model, is less). This means that they would have a range of up to 10 hours more compared to the previous generation, the WH-1000XM4. The new WH-1000XM5s will take regarding 3.5 hours to fully recharge their battery, which is regarding 30 minutes longer than the previous model, but considering that its battery seems to be much larger, that was to be expected.
We still don’t know when Sony’s new WH-1000XM5 ANC headphones will arrive, or what other changes they will have, but it seems that their launch is imminent, and the new design is really attractive. [via[víaTechnikNews]
