Will Jackson Muleka be the new Mbaye Diagne?

Under the leadership of Sami Ugurlu, the actual assistant coach, who has been the head coach since December 20th, Kasimpasa has had a great series and has won the sympathy of many Süper Lig fans. With ten wins, three draws and three defeats, the 43-year-old team boss has an impressive average of 2.06 points in 16 games. There were only narrow defeats once morest (almost) champions Trabzonspor (0:1), second-placed Fenerbahce (1:2) and VavaCars Fatih Karagümrük (2:3). During this period, one player in particular played himself to the fore. We’re talking regarding Jackson Muleka, who has only been on the team for a little over two months but has shaken up the league in a very short time.

Who is Jackson Muleka?

With nine goals and three assists in nine matches, he is currently THE guarantee of victory for the Istanbul team. The center forward from the Democratic Republic of the Congo was loaned out by the Belgian first division club Standard Liège at the beginning of February and impressed straight away. The right-footer was trained in his home country at TP Mazembe, where he also played in the CAF Champions League before the Belgians discovered him and sent him to Liège in September 2020 for a fee of two million euros. Once in the kingdom, he was able to flash his skills in phases and scored ten goals in 28 matches. While the 22-year-old was expected to take the next step this season, he has once more struggled, scoring just two goals in 19 games.

Purchase option available?

Since the red-whites recognized a step backwards rather than progress, they gave it to the Turkish metropolis without further ado. The Turkish media landscape is currently wondering whether Kasimpasa and managing director Serkan Recber were able to agree on a purchase option. According to “Transfermarkt”, this is firmly anchored in the loan agreement in the amount of three million euros. If this should be the case and the blue and white pull the purchase option, you would have another great scouting success to record. Kasimpasa had already shown a good touch in recent years with Mbaye Diagne and Trezeguet. Within a very short time, they had succeeded in selling Diagne to Galatasaray for 13 million euros and Trezeguet to Aston Villa for 10 million euros. Now Muleka might be the next big catch. His stats are already similar to those of Diagne, who had 32 goals and four assists in 36 games. Maybe Muleka can even top that.
