From PSG to Manchester United via Bayern Munich, Christopher Nkunku has been associated with many clubs in recent months because of his very good season: the 24-year-old French striker scored 30 goals and delivered 16 assists in 45 matches in all competitions under the colors of Leipzig, where he is still under contract until 2024.
“Nkunku will be our player once more next season”
Asked Wednesday evening by German television on the sidelines of the semi-final of the German Cup between Leipzig and Union Berlin (2-1), Oliver Mintzlaff, the club president of the firm Red Bull, has already and already sealed the future of the international tricolor (two selections): “I have said it several times (…): Nkunku will be our player once more next season”.
If this same Oliver Mintzlaff then conceded on Sky Sports that “in football, no one is unsaleable”he still remained on the same line concerning Christopher Nkunku: “He was already one of our best players in the first half of the season, although, as everyone knows, it didn’t go very well. Under the guidance of Domenico Tedesco, he reached a new stage in his development and he will continue to do so next season”.
