US President Joe Biden has announced an additional $800 million in aid to Ukraine, which is being invaded by Russia. He also announced a ban on entry of Russian ships.
In a speech in the Roosevelt Room of the White House on the 21st (local time), President Biden announced that he would provide an additional $800 million (regarding 990.4 billion won) in aid to Ukrainian forces in the Donbass region to improve combat capabilities.
“This package includes heavy weapons and dozens of howitzers, as well as 144,000 rounds of ammunition for howitzers,” Biden said. Strategic drones are also included in this support package, he explains.
In addition to military support, it also announced economic support for Ukraine. “In addition to strengthening Ukraine’s resistance on the battlefield, we also show support for the Ukrainian people,” Biden said in his economic aid policy.
