Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola has confirmed that any “slip” might cost his team the Premier League title.
City beat Brighton with three goals without a response, all of which came in the second half, to regain the lead by one point from runner-up Liverpool.
“There are six matches left and if we win all the matches we will be the champions, and if we do not win all the matches then Liverpool will be the champion,” Guardiola said.
Guardiola added: “It happened three years ago, when we achieved 14 consecutive victories and became champions. Liverpool will win all their matches, but I don’t have to say that to the players, they feel it, we are competing with one of the best teams ever.”
And the Spanish coach concluded by saying: “We have only one month, maybe five weeks, following 11 months we are one month away. We will do everything we can to be the best in these matches.”
