Kulkarni was a member of the Mumbai Indians from 2008 to 2013 and later played for the Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Lions.
He played a total of 92 matches for the Mumbai Indians and took 86 wickets. The player, who returned to the Mumbai Indians in the 2020 and 21 seasons, played just one match.
