The Stib and Tec networks will be disrupted this Friday, April 22, due to the day of action for purchasing power organized by the CSC, FGTB and CGSLB unions, the public transport companies announced.
In Brussels, the trade unions will gather rue Ravenstein, in front of the headquarters of the Federation of Belgian Enterprises (FEB), in the city center, to demonstrate. “This event, which therefore does not concern STIB directly, will have an impact on the circulation of buses, trams and metros“, warns the Brussels society.
The Stib network will also be disrupted because part of the staff of the public transport company will participate in the movement.
Faced with the expected disruptions, the extent of which is unknown at this stage, the Stib invites its travelers to provide alternatives to its public transport offer to get around on Friday.
Stib assures that it will inform its travelers in real time, Friday, throughout the day via its website, mobile application and social media. The “Customer Care” will also be available, from 6 a.m. that day, to answer travellers’ questions, by telephone on 070 23 2000, as well as on social media.
