“Khaloh” .. A Libyan series that monitors the problems of husbands in the Arab world (special)

The series “Khaloh” joined the list of striking works in the Libyan Ramadan season 2022, by discussing the family problems of married couples in Arab homes, in a sophisticated social comic form.

During a separate and related episode, writer Mustafa Al-Saiti tells 15 social situations facing husbands and wives in Libya in a framework that combines comedy, social drama and suspense, to monitor the most prominent problems that have emerged on the Libyan scene in recent years and have become the talk of homes throughout the country.

Libyan actress Yaqeen Abdel Majid, the heroine of the series “Khalowa”, says in an exclusive interview with “Al-Ain News”, that the series approaches the hearts and minds of viewers in Libya, as it provides a comic and critical snack for society at the same time, not only in Libya but in all Arab societies. In which the internal problems are very similar.

Abdul Majeed added that the series simulates reality to a large extent, and is close to the similarity between it and the successful Saudi series “Tash Ma Tash”, as it presents a comedy of the situation without profanity or vulgarity, and offers different solutions to all problems that disturb the lives of married couples and may often cause Separation and the consequent problems.

During the dramatic context of the prominent characters in the work, “Souad” and “Hammad”, the series intelligently discusses the problem of jealousy between spouses and the major problems that it may lead to and destroy the family if the weapon of reason is not judged and waits for judgments on things.

The series also addresses, according to Abdel Majid, the problem of accumulating debts on the husband, and the effects that may result when dealing with his wife and children, and the ideal way for the wife to deal with these situations in a way that does not affect the marital relationship.

The Libyan artist points out that one of the most important topics discussed in the series, in its comic and social context, is the frustrations that may result from spouses’ perceptions of unrealistic things in achieving their dreams and ambitions, before the clash occurs with the bitter reality that greatly dissipates their dreams and hopes.

Abdul Majeed believes that the series will have a positive impact inside and outside Libya, especially since it deals with problems that are not exclusive to Libyan society only, but also to all Arab countries in its wide area.

She considers that the authors’ delinquency to write the separate and continuous story, as it is in line with the nature of the Libyan and Arab scenes in general during that period, and it also gives more freedom for the author to present more than one story and monitor the multiple cases.
