Palakkad: An elderly woman died following being hit by a KSRTC bus. The deceased has been identified as Chellamma, 80, of Kannannur. The accident took place on the Kannanur National Highway at 9.15 am. The KSRTC bus which did not stop following the accident was stopped by the locals. According to locals, the accident took place when the KSRTC bus missed the signal. CCTV footage of the accident was also released.

The driver says he went to the stop following other vehicles went at the signal. The driver told News18 that he did not see anyone in the front of the vehicle.
