Crazy scenario Monday night at the Bossard Arena! The ZSC Lions, still trailing 89 seconds from time, won (2-3) ahead of EV Zug in the first act of the National League play-off final. The formation led by Rikard Grönborg first equalized by Chris Baltisberger (59th) while Jakub Kovar had left his cage. She then scored the decisive goal thanks to the cane of Justin Azevedo… two seconds from the third siren (60th).

Led by two lengths, the Zurichers had taken a first step in the right direction thanks to a success from Maxim Noreau in numerical superiority (48th), following an avoidable penalty from Jan Kovar. Like his top scorer, the reigning Swiss champion scuttled himself.

Because the EVZ, thanks to Grégory Hofmann (34th) and Fabrice Herzog (37th), who had each benefited from five-star services signed Dario Simion and Yannick Zehnder, had done the hardest part in the space of 169 seconds. Realistically, the Bulls had then perfectly materialized their slight hold on the meeting since the middle of the match.

Twice poles

It was without counting on the crazy final proposed by the ZSC Lions, finally able to deceive the vigilance of Leonardo Genoni. The latter, saved by his uprights twice during the first third (6th Denis Malgin, 10th Tommi Kivistö), was on the way to his semi-final once morest Davos, during which he had only been beaten twice in four parts.

It remains to be seen how the two teams will have digested this improbable end to the match. Response Wednesday evening (kick-off at 8:00 p.m.) at the Hallenstadion for the second act of this final between the two best formations in the country which promises to be grandiose.
