The Montreal Canadiens suffered a solid 8-4 thaw last night once morest the Washington Capitals.
The team did not play badly, but several defensive errors and several penalties cost them dearly.
As if this loss weren’t enough, we learned earlier today that Michael Pezzetta will have to explain himself to the NHL Department of Player Safety tomorrow for his blow to the head of TJ Oshie in the game last night.
Montreal’s Michael Pezzetta will have a hearing tomorrow for an Illegal Check to the Head on Washington’s T.J. Oshie.

The number 55 of the CH will therefore have an audience tomorrow for the blow to the head which he awarded to TJ Oshie along the strip at the end of the third period. The score was then 7 to 4 in favor of the Capitals. Oshie was uninjured on the streak. He even scored a goal, his tenth of the season, during the power play resulting from the penalty to Pezzetta.
Pezzetta had received two minutes of penalty on the sequence. The 24-year-old forward spent almost eight minutes on the ice last night, and did not collect a point.
The fiery CH striker is a revelation this season, having quickly become a crowd favorite thanks to his intensity and robust style of play. He never hesitates to make his presence felt and defend his teammates.
Pezzetta has five goals and three assists for a total of eight points in 47 games with a -8 differential this season with CH. He also received 74 penalty minutes.
In short, let’s hope that if Pezzetta is suspended, it won’t be for too many games given that there are only six games left in the season, and therefore very few games to allow Pezzetta to prove that he deserves his place. in the line-up next season.
Pezzetta is clearly a style of player that can be important within a team, but some youngsters may very well be prioritized.
Number 55 of the CH will therefore have to continue to work very hard if he wants to stay in the NHL.
