During the holiday of Holy Week DracuFest was held in Puerto Cabello, Carabobo state, which was the subject of harsh criticism, especially on social networks.
The event, organized by Governor Rafael Lacava, took place specifically on Waikiki beach, where a disturbance was generated on Friday night to gain entry. This is because the capacity was already exhausted, so they denied access to new attendees.
However, the realization of the beach festival was in trend in the networks, mostly due to criticism, since users considered that this was not a priority for the state, nor for the country.
“Although it bothers many plugged in that one expresses oneself, I cannot silence the critical situation in Puerto Cabello. There is no piped water, the electricity supply is interrupted every so often, hospitals without supplies … oh, but a lot of Lacava and Dracufest shows,” commented a user on Twitter.
Among the remarks to the event, they highlighted that it is not known exactly how much money was invested in it, while serious failures of public services continue in the entity. “DracuFest swallowed all the light. This is unusual”, read one of the comments.
Right now, in Venezuela:
Thousands of people at the Dracufest enjoying and enjoying…Thousands of people doing grape harvests or asking for donations to cover medical expenses.
That’s how absurd this country is.

“Could it be that nobody has told Rafael Lacava that half of Valencia is without power? While he is jumping on the stage and hitting the bottom with his friends. The circus will continue to be a circus as long as there are those who applaud the clowns! Definitely, we deserve what we have”, exclaimed one of those affected.
Another of the messages that was read was: «’Lacava gives me life’, comments that I read on TikTok that drive me crazy. I don’t know what to think regarding Dracufest and all the people who advertise and praise the event.”
The youth that comes is SCARY because they get carried away by such empty pods…

Criticism of Rafael Lacava’s DracuFest
In the networks they also made mention of the criticized phrase “Venezuela is fixing itself”, assuring that it is nothing more than a mask that covers the apathy and misery in the country.
“The DracuFest in Playa Waikiki, another demonstration of the circus without bread that Venezuela has become. Another pamphlet from the Goebbelian campaign ‘Venezuela is fixing itself’, where cheap and decadent fun masks sordid misery and laziness”, sentenced one of the users.
Another part of the population questioned that while the DracuFest was taking place, others wait for “a helping hand” in a hospital. This in the face of the hospital crisis in the region.
Lacava called those who criticized him “terrifying”
Faced with the negative messages, the Chavista governor responded to those who criticized him and called them “terrifying.”
“After so much suffering that this pandemic caused us, here we are Venezuelans with this desire to live. We are strengthened no matter what those shysters who don’t want to see us happy say, ”he commented.
