Car fell 100 meters over a cliff

On the morning of Easter Sunday, a 20-year-old from Thuringia in Blons drove his car over the right-hand side of the road. As a result, the vehicle fell regarding 100 meters down a steep slope, according to the police. Both vehicle occupants were injured.

According to the police, the 20-year-old from Thuringia was on the way with his 20-year-old colleague in the passenger seat at 11:15 a.m. on Sunday. For reasons that have not yet been clarified, the driver drove his car over the right-hand side of the road shortly following leaving Blons on a straight stretch.

Just missed the house

According to the police, the car then fell regarding 100 meters down a slope – according to information from the scene of the accident, the vehicle rolled over several times before it came to rest next to a residential building. The car must have just missed the house because the roof of the house was slightly damaged, according to the police.

Two injured, no alcohol involved

The driver and passenger were injured with unspecified degrees, police said. The car was totaled. An alcohol test on the driver was negative. The local fire brigade in Blons and the Sunday mountain rescue service were deployed to rescue the two injured people and the car.
