Borussia Dortmund had fun on the 30th day of the Bundesliga. The Yellow and Blacks crushed Wolfsburg 6-1 with a pass from Akanji to come within six points of Bayern.
Dortmund crunched the Wolves in twelve minutes during the first period. The Ruhr club scored five goals between the 24th and 38th.
National team defender Manuel Akanji scored 3-0. Erling Haaland scored 5-0 and 6-0. On the Wolfsburg side, Kevin Mbabu entered just before half-time, when the score was already 5-0.
Yann Sommer spent a difficult late followingnoon in goal for Mönchengladbach, who lost 3-1 at home to Cologne. The Swiss goalkeeper capitulated three times in 29 minutes in the first half. Breel Embolo saved the honor in the 85th for Gladbach, who also fielded Nico Elvedi.
Bayern Munich will try for its part to regain its nine-point lead over Borussia Dortmund by going to Bielefeld, 17th and in a relegation position, on Sunday.
