Mr. Suthipong Chalermkiat, Assistant Governor for Sustainability Management As Deputy Spokesperson for the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) revealed that EGAT invited Thai people to join forces to save energy under the campaign. “Together with the power of Thai people Reduce energy consumption by 2” through the project “Clean your air to help the nation Clean your air, Care your life” in collaboration with the Thai Air Conditioning Traders Association to provide free air conditioner cleaning services to Thai people across the country to help reduce expenses. Because cleaning the air conditioner every 6 months can reduce electricity consumption by at least 10 percent, allowing the air conditioner to work at full efficiency, resulting in an overall national energy saving of regarding 1.3 million units per year by EGAT.
