The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates denies the news circulating on social media regarding inviting students, beneficiaries of the Tobacco and Tobacco Restriction Department, to come to the ministry building to receive the value of the grant in cash.
This news is untrue. The Ministry is interested in confirming that regarding 542 students have started receiving the scholarship following the Lebanese embassies began distributing it to those who deserve it.
The Ministry continues to work on finding a quick solution, in coordination with the Banque du Liban, that allows the delivery of the sums due to students in Russia, Ukraine, Iran, Cuba and Syria due to the difficulty of money transfers to these five countries.
