Chinese team returns after 183 days in space World | Deshabhimani

The travelers return following completing China’s longest space mission. Wang Yaping, Shai Jigang, and Ye Gwangfu returned to Beijing at 10 a.m. Beijing time following spending 183 days aboard the Tianhe space station. Tianhe is an important part of Tiangong, a space station to be established by China. The mission went into space in October 2021 from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in the Gobi Desert, China.

Wang Yaping was the first woman to be sent by China to their space center. The team completed two spacewalks as part of the mission. Wang Yaping also became the first woman to take part in a spacewalk. The commander of the mission was Shai Jigang, who completed China’s first spacewalk in 2008.
