Skirmishes between Moroccan and Algerian newspapers over Lekja’s complicity

It seems that the controversy over the match between Algeria and Cameroon in the qualifiers for the World Cup Qatar 2022 will not end, until the International Federation issues its decision, regarding the complaint submitted by the Algerian Federation to replay the match.

The Algerian national team failed to qualify for the Qatar 2022 World Cup following defeating Cameroon 2-1 at home in the deadly time of the extra second half.

The Algerian national team was subjected to a severe arbitration injustice on the part of referee Bakari Gassama, according to the Algerian street.

But the conflict between Algeria and Cameroon moved to another conflict between Algeria and Morocco, following the Algerian newspaper “Al-Shorouk” published a report accusing Faouzi Lakjaa, the head of the Moroccan Federation, of communicating with Gassama to bring down the Saharan warriors.

And the newspaper “Al-Shorouk” revealed that Jasama stopped for a long time in Morocco during his trip from Gambia to Algeria, to manage the match, and during his stop in Morocco he met with Lekja, the president of the Moroccan Federation.

The same source said that Gassama and the rest of his assistant crew were supposed to go to Turkey instead of Morocco, and from there he would move to Tunisia before entering Algeria.

The newspaper added that Lekja has become obsessed recently with the Algerian national team, especially since the victory of the Saharan warriors in the 2019 African Cup, and he is doing everything he can to break the greens behind the scenes at the level of the Confederation of African Football, as this matter is more concerned than interest in Moroccan football and the national team. Moroccan himself.

The Moroccan press did not remain silent regarding the Algerian press, and emphasized that all the talk of the Algerian press regarding Geagea’s complicity with Jassama to overthrow Morocco are just excuses to justify the failure to go to the World Cup “Qatar 2022”.

The Moroccan “Al-Boula” website indicated that in the absence of sportsmanship and failure to accept defeat, Algerian newspapers are looking for an excuse to fail to reach the World Cup because of ten seconds that were harsh on them.
