(Boston) Quebecer Charles Philibert-Thiboutot won the 5K on Saturday, held on the sidelines of the Boston Marathon.

The 31-year-old, Olympian in Rio in 2016, clocked 13 minutes 35 seconds, breaking Paul Williams’ Canadian record of 13.36, set in 1986.
Senbere Teferi of Ethiopia won the women’s race in 14.49.
The Boston Marathon will take place on Monday.
The oldest marathon in the world was canceled in 2020, due to the pandemic. It was postponed to October last year.
