The head of the Lebanese Democratic Party, Talal Arslan, received in his house in Khaldeh, Sheikh Nasr al-Din al-Gharib, at the head of a large delegation of the sect’s sheikhs from different regions, on a visit to discuss the overall current local developments and the conditions and affairs of the Almohad sect and its sons.
At the beginning, Sheikh Al-Gharib spoke, saying: “We appreciate the efforts made by Prince Talal Arslan, and his permanent support for our sheikhs and our people, especially in these difficult economic and social conditions that we are going through.
He added, “We have full confidence in Prince Talal’s constant keenness to preserve national unity and goodwill.”
For his part, Arslan considered that “we are facing a pivotal stage in Lebanon’s history, and the acceleration of international and regional developments is a clear indication of this, and its impact on Lebanon will appear successively.” He explained to the delegation of sheikhs the details of his visit to Moscow and his meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his deputy, Mikhail Bogdanov, praising the Russian role in the region And the historical relationship that unites them to the Druze sect.
He pointed out that “the stage requires us to unite and solidarity and stand by our sheikhs and our people in the various Lebanese regions and the mountain, and the elections are very important, but the most important thing is for it to pass quietly and to maintain the stability and security of the mountain, for civil peace today is above all entitlements and considerations.”
Arslan concluded by thanking Sheikh Al-Aql and the sheikhs for their visit, stressing that this house, as it was since the time of the late Prince Majid Arslan, will remain the home of all the Lebanese and the home of the people of monotheism in Lebanon and the world.
There were also interventions by the sheikhs, in which they conveyed the concerns and concerns of the people of their regions, and thanked Arslan for his support and contributions to alleviate the impact of the successive crises.
At the end of the meeting, a memorial photo was taken of Arslan and the sheikhs.
