104,915 new confirmed cases by 9pm… 18,712 people compared to the previous day↓

As of 9 p.m. on the 15th, more than 100,000 confirmed cases of novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) have been reported.

According to each local government, including Seoul, the number of new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in 17 cities and provinces across the country from 0 am to 9 pm that day was 104,915. This is 18,712 fewer than the 123,627 people counted for the same time period the previous day.

Compared to the 182,143 people counted for the same time period a week ago on the 8th, 77,228 fewer people, and 154,317 fewer than the 259,232 people on the 1st two weeks ago.

As there is still time left until midnight, when the counting ends, the number of new confirmed cases announced as of 00:00 on the 16th is expected to increase.

The number of new confirmed cases in the past week was 185,536 → 164,458 → 9917 → 21736 → 195,402 → 148,443 → 125,846 per day, and the weekly average The number of confirmed cases is 161,191.

As of 9 p.m. that day, 49,967 (47.6%) of the confirmed patients were confirmed in the metropolitan area and 54,948 (52.4%) in non-metropolitan areas.

By region, Gyeonggi 26,483, Seoul 18120, Gyeongnam 6354, Gyeongbuk 6138, Incheon 5364, Jeonnam 4971, Chungnam 4946, Daegu 4603, Jeonbuk 4574, Chungbuk 4153, Gwangju 4065, There were 3966 confirmed cases in Gangwon, 3836 in Daejeon, 2702 in Busan, 2147 in Ulsan, 1547 in Jeju and 946 in Sejong.

Meanwhile, the government decided to end most of the social distancing measures from 5 am on the 18th as the decrease in the spread of COVID-19 became clear.
