Major General Rizk Ali, head of the Cairo Public Transport Authority, revealed the position of ticket prices for public transport buses following the increase in gasoline prices today.
In response to Masrawy’s question: Will the ticket prices for the authority be increased?, he replied: “There is stability in the authority’s ticket prices.
The Petroleum Products Automatic Pricing Committee, which is concerned with following up and implementing the mechanisms for applying automatic pricing for petroleum products on a quarterly basis, decided in its meeting held following the end of last March, to recommend amending the current prices prevailing in the local market for the April/June 2022 quarter.
The selling price of gasoline products of all three types has been adjusted, as of nine in the morning, as follows: 7.50 pounds per liter of petrol 80, 8.75 pounds per liter of 92nd gasoline, and 9.75 pounds per liter of gasoline 95, and the price of diesel was fixed at 6.75 pounds per liter.
It was also decided to increase the price of a ton of diesel fuel supplied to other industries by 400 pounds, bringing the price of a ton of diesel to 4,600 pounds, and to keep the prices of diesel supplied to the food and electricity industries stable.
