The Chinese company, “iQoo”, the smart phone maker, launched its new phone, “Neo 6”, today, Wednesday, in China, which falls under the middle category that attracts young people in the first place, and offers real value in specifications and settings for an acceptable price.
The phone comes with a 6.62-inch HD E4 AMOLED screen (1080 x 2400 pixels) with an aspect ratio of 20: 9, a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, and a peak brightness of 1300 nits.
The screen occupies 91.4% of the phone’s body, supports “HDR10+” architecture, and continuous dimming to save energy.
The iQoo Neo 6 – Dual SIM (Nano) phone runs on the “Android 12” operating system straight out of the box with the company’s traditional “OriginOS Ocean” interface.
The phone is powered by the most powerful processor in the world now, which comes with an eight-core “Snapdragon 8 Gen 1”, along with up to 12 GB of RAM with “LPDDR5” architecture.
The iQoo Neo 6 has up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.
The phone’s connectivity options include support for the fifth generation (5G) and fourth generation (4G or LTE), “Wi-Fi 6”, “Bluetooth v5.2”, “GPS / A-GPS”, “NFC”, and a “USB” port from Type “C”.
Sensors include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, magnetometer, and proximity sensor. The phone also includes a fingerprint sensor integrated into the screen.
The phone also includes a dedicated display chip that is claimed to help improve graphics processing to support users while playing heavy games.
The Chinese company also introduced a new feature to improve the performance of the phone, which is “iQoo Extreme Wind Cooling Back Clip Pro” to help maintain the temperature of the phone while playing heavy games when the phone is connected to the charger.
The iQoo Neo 6 has a dual-cell 4700mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging. Besides, the phone weighs regarding 193.95 grams (in shades of orange and blue with classic Lycée leather on the back), or 197.23 grams (the black option).
For photography, the phone features a triple rear camera setup, which includes a 64-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL Plus GW1P primary sensor with f/1.89 aperture and optical image stabilization (OIS). The camera module also includes a 12-megapixel wide-angle sensor and a 2-megapixel monochrome lens. The phone has a 16-megapixel selfie camera for photos and video calls, with an f / 2.0 lens slot.
And the company “iQoo” – owned by the Chinese company “Vivo” – set the price of its “Neo 6” phone at $ 440 for the basic version (8 RAM + 128 GB storage space).
The phone also comes with a version (8 RAM + 256 storage) at a price of 471 dollars, and a version (12 RAM + 256 storage) at a price of 518 dollars.
The phone will be initially put up for sale in China starting from next April 20, to be launched at a later time for more markets.
