WHAT ARE THE NEW REQUIREMENTS TO ENTER CHILE?
- Travelers declaration (C19 request): always, to all travelers. It must be done up to 48 hours before boarding.
- Requirement of homologation upon entry for non-resident foreigners: voluntary vaccine approval to access mobility pass.
- Diagnostic test request before admission: recommended within 72 hours before the trip.
- Request for diagnostic test upon admission: It will be done randomly.
- Non-resident alien health insurance: always, with coverage for COVID-19.
- Prove economic solvency.
Note: For all procedures, the same type and number of identity document must be used (mevacuno session, vaccination validation, C19).
WHAT HAPPENS IF A CASE OF COVID-19 IS DETECTED ON THE FLIGHT?
Upon arrival at the international airport of Santiago de Chile, travelers will be randomly tested and these are the measures that will be taken if there is a positive case:
- Confirmed case: isolation according to general health regulations.
- In-flight contact case: in accordance with general health regulations.
- Genomic surveillance: all positive PCR of travelers in the last 14 days or close contact of travelers.
IF I AM FOREIGN, HOW DO I ACCESS THE MOBILITY PASS IN CHILE?
Although the homologation of the vaccines is no longer a requirement to enter the country, it is essential to acquire the mobility pass in Chile. To obtain it, you must validate your vaccination schedule with the Ministry of Health in Chile. The document will allow you to enter a closed restaurant or a transfer on public transport, for example.
WHAT ARE THE STEPS TO HOMOLOGATE MY VACCINATION SCHEDULE IN CHILE?
Foreigners who travel to Chile and wish to obtain their mobility pass, must approve their vaccination schedule before the Ministry of Health in Chile, with the following steps.
- Enter the site mevacuno.gob.cl and create an account using your email and password.
- Enter the ”My profile” section and verify your identity by clicking on ”Manual Verification”.
- The Identity Verification form will be displayed, make sure you enter all the required information.
- Attach: image of the identity document on both sides and the image of the user (where the face is visible) holding the identity document.
How do I know if my vaccine approval request was approved?
Once the request is sent, it will be evaluated, and the resolution of it will be notified to the email declared on the site. You can also check the status of your application by accessing mevacuno.gob.cl. This evaluation can take between 48 and 72 to be answered.
