Pedro Troglio is no longer in San Lorenzo: DT resigned after losing to a Third Division team in the Argentine Cup | RMMD | SPORTS

Pedro Troglio’s story on the San Lorenzo bench came to an end this Wednesday. This follows from the Argentine’s statements following the defeat once morest Central Córdoba in a penalty shootout and elimination in the round of 32 finals of the Argentine Cup.

“Beyond the fact that they (the directors) asked me to wait until May, until the end of the tournament, but the tournament is a month away, there is not a game missing. There are five games left, it’s a month, it’s a long time. I can’t see on the pitch what one needs to see and, logically, this is the responsibility of the coach. I wanted to be here, but not at any cost either. I thought it might be changed, unfortunately it has not been changed”declared Troglio before the press.

Minutes following what was expressed by the DT, in the official accounts of San Lorenzo they made their departure official: “Pedro Troglio decided to resign from the position of coach of San Lorenzo. The practice this Thursday followingnoon will be directed by Fernando Berón”.

San Lorenzo’s announcement regarding Pedro Troglio.
