People with blood group 0 seem to have the lowest corona risk, people with group A the highest. An expert explains what mechanism might be behind it – and in which diseases the blood group also plays a role.

The first evaluations of the outbreak in Wuhan, China, indicated that there seems to be a connection between one’s own blood group and the risk of infection or disease in the case of Corona. The researchers found that people with blood group A had a higher risk of becoming infected with SARS-CoV-2.
