The Commission for the Financial Market (CMF) issued an alert to users and the general public on Tuesday regarding a number of entities offering credits and investment platforms that are not regulated or registered in the Commission’s records.

In the case of those that offer loans through websites, according to the information collected by the agency’s Investigation Unit, these are entities that appear to be supervised by the CMF, but are not registered or authorized.

At the same time, these platforms request advance payments from people who applied for a loan and who subsequently did not receive the agreed loans.

For this reason, the CMF will file complaints with the Public Ministry, once morest those who are responsible, for the alleged crimes of fraud. The entities denounced are: Corbanca, Cooperativa Crediservi Chile, Cooperativa Andina, CoopValparaiso, Financiemos A Chile, the website www.oriencoopfinanciera.com, Grupo Financiero Alianza and Multiassociados de Concepción.

On the other hand, the CMF reported that the website https://nuevocapital.info/ is not regulated.

Additionally, the agency warned users and the public that the CMF does not issue insurance of any kind, and in particular does not provide insurance ” once morest fraudulent purchases.”

The Commission also recalled that on the CMF Citizen Alerts website, it is possible to verify if a company or person that offers credits or financial services is supervised by the agency, review the alerts and other foreign regulators regarding non-regulated entities or activities, among others.
