Transformation of the Tlaxcala health system advances to IMSS-Wellness – 385 Degrees

*With technical work groups, the start-up of health services continues that will provide free medical attention and specialties to the population.

385 Degrees / Tlaxcala / EDITORIAL / Meeting in Mexico City, the general director of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), Zoé Robledo Aburto; The Governor of Tlaxcala, Lorena Cuéllar Cisneros, as well as the Secretaries of Government and Health of the Tlaxcalan entity, Sergio González Hernández and Rigoberto Zamudio Meneses, respectively, agreed to continue with the transformation of the entity’s health system to IMSS-Well-being.

The governor of Tlaxcala pointed out that she is vigilant so that no health worker is injured in their labor and human rights during the model of the transformation of health services.

With this transformation, the population will have free access to the medical services of specialists for care and maintenance of the health of Tlaxcalans who do not have social security.

At the meeting held in Mexico City, technical work tables were set up for the operation of the IMSS-Well-being with the infrastructure and supply teams, in addition to the Infrastructure, Legal, Finance and Administration, Inputs, Conservation and Maintenance, as well as the Operations Doctor, to continue with the transformation of the Tlaxcala health system to IMSS-Wellness.

Among the advances that have been made, the Ministry of Health (SESA) already has the census of the units and the necessary supply for the operation of the IMSS-Wellness health services.

The actions carried out in Mexico City are in follow-up to the coordinated work between the federal and state governments to continue with the implementation of the transformation of health in the state of Tlaxcala.

This model of transformation of health services will be strengthened and expanded in the country, and will provide medical care to the population that does not have social security.

In addition, it will allow the realization of what the Mexican Constitution establishes in its article 4 of guaranteeing the people’s right to health.
