RTL Belgium has a new boss

The new shareholders, DPG Media and the Rossel Group, have decided to appoint Guillaume Collard as the new CEO of RTL Belgium. “Guillaume Collard will succeed Philippe Delusinne who built RTL Belgium into a leading multimedia company in news media, television, radio and streaming“, can we read in a press release.

The appointment of Guillaume Collard (37), which will take effect shortly, is part of the ambition to accelerate the digital transformation of RTL Belgium’s radio and television channels and to guide the collaboration with the new shareholders, namely the Rossel Group and DPG Media. Guillaume Collard has a strategic global vision of television and streaming.

Since 2016, he has held key positions within the media group Eleven Sports: Managing Director BeLux, member of the Board of Directors and Chief Rights Acquisition & Distribution at Eleven Sports HQ. Before that, he had held various management positions at Proximus and Belgacom, notably as head of content strategy.

Guillaume Collard will take the helm of RTL Belgium, the company which includes the television channels RTL TVI, Club RTL and Plug RTL, the radio stations Bel RTL and Radio Contact, the streaming service RTLplay, the information platform RTL Info and the management IP Belgium.

DPG Media and the Rossel Group would like to thank Philippe Delusinne for his unfailing commitment and his many achievements during his twenty-year career at RTL Belgium“, concludes the statement. He remains a director of the company for the next 12 months.
