Emirates News Agency – “Dubai Chamber” launches the Social Responsibility Report for the year 2021

DUBAI, 12th April / WAM / The Business Ethics Center of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce has issued the Chamber’s Social Responsibility Report for the year 2021, which reviewed its most important achievements in the field of corporate social responsibility, sustainability and responsible practices.

The report focused on the Chamber’s achievements in the four areas of corporate social responsibility, namely society, the environment, the workplace and the labor market.

In the field of society, the center organized 37 community initiatives, facilitated 92 voluntary institutional projects, provided more than 70,000 volunteer hours, benefiting more than 60,000 beneficiaries, while the Chamber organized a sustainability week in which 50,000 participants representing more than 50 companies participated.

In the field of environment, the Chamber followed the best environmental practices adopted at the Green Chamber headquarters, and organized nine environmental campaigns for its employees.

In the workplace field, the Chamber organized 24 awareness and training campaigns for its employees on well-being, health, safety and sustainability in the workplace, and provided them with free health checkups.

In the field of the labor market, the Chamber has enhanced the experience of customers and their happiness, through the digital transformation of basic services and enriching their experience of doing business, which resulted in it winning first place in the field of customer happiness in the Customer Happiness Index of the Government of Dubai for the year 2021.

The report included quotes from representatives of the private sector in Dubai, in which they spoke regarding the most prominent achievements of their companies and the sustainable and responsible practices applied in their companies, in addition to the green achievements they made during the past year.

The Dubai Chamber Sustainability Network witnessed a steady growth in the number of its members during the year 2021 to reach 69 members, while the Dubai Chamber CSR brand that honors and appreciates responsible and sustainable practices of companies received more than 100 applications following launching the new smart digital brand that covers the workplace, market and community. and the environment.
