Actor Chris Rock says he lost his hearing following Will Smith slapped him during the 2022 Academy Awards.
According to the American “All Hip Hop” website, comedian Chris Rock talked regarding the famous slap in a “stand-up-comedy” he performed in California.
And “Smith” slapped “Rock” during the party, following the latter mocked the shaven head of his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, although the latter suffers from alopecia areata, which Smith considered an insult to his wife that calls for hitting the comedian during the party.
During the comedy show, “Rock” said, “I’m fine, I have a full show, and I won’t talk regarding the incident until you pay me, I got my hearing back and I’m fine now.”
It is not yet clear if Rock was joking regarding being temporarily deaf following being slapped in the head by Smith, or if he was actually physically hurt.
“Rock” said earlier, that he will talk regarding the incident in detail one day, but so far he avoids discussing the details of the issue.
Smith formally apologized to his colleague Chris Rock, and members of the Academy, following winning the Oscar for Best Actor in a Leading Role for “King Richard”.
