The suspect is actively sought by the police. The facts took place Saturday evening around 8:00 p.m. The woman was walking her dog when a stranger approached her asking for her cell phone. The man then took out a knife and stabbed him in the back near his left lung.
“After being stabbed, the woman headed for the nearest bus stop, where passers-by took care of her,” said Brussels Midi police spokeswoman Sarah Frederickx.
The woman was taken to hospital, but her life is not in danger. The suspect fled and is still being actively sought by police.
