Born in Vypin, Josephine Murikumpadam was educated at St. Mary’s and Ochanthuruthu Santacruz Schools and St. Xavier’s and Maharaja’s College, Aluva. It all failed here. Twice represented Angadikkadavu Division in Angamaly Municipality. In 1995, when the LDF and the UDF came together in the Angamaly municipality, he was the chairperson candidate. But the vote for that position failed. It was when he was the GCDA chairperson that the administrative leadership got the chance.
