The renowned comedian spoke with Vea regarding his new work, which talks regarding bullying, mental health and the importance of going to therapy.
Tell us regarding your work ‘Suso a la carta’
“The play is basically because I read letters and I send letters to my dad, to my family, and people can do it too. You go to the show and you can write a letter to me or a song and I’ll jam out and improvise with that. I’m also going to tell my story from school. It is a work that will talk regarding the importance of going to the psychologist. We are going to talk regarding the disorders that hit one since childhood, regarding the traumas, regarding what it is to live without a father, poor, with rich companions. This work speaks of bullying at school, that despite the fact that things can be difficult one can get ahead, look at me”.

Why is it important to talk through comedy regarding mental health and self-love?
“It is important because it is to invite people that we all have to go to the psychologist, we all have to tell our problems, we all have to say things, then one puts humor into it, we have to make it laugh because or else we’re going to go crazy. Telling things is healing, when you tell things to other people you feel like a burden is lifted, that is very therapeutic, even if you are mute, make yourself understood, tell things”.
You are looking for the double of Yesica Yuyeimi, what are the requirements for those interested?
“First that they are good, it is fundamental, because the feítas for television do not last; and the second thing is that they have humor, that they have a spark. We are going to give him 20 million pesos. We are already in the casting. The jurors are Jorge Enrique Abello and María Cecilia Botero. They are elegant jurors, it is not anything”.
