13 Colombian students hospitalized after taking Viagra for online challenge

Colombian authorities revealed that 13 Colombian students were hospitalized following taking Viagra at a school in Cucuta, following they attempted a famous online challenge, the Peruvian newspaper “El Comercio” reported.

The newspaper indicated that a group of 13 students were taken to hospital following taking Viagra in a school in Cucuta, aged between 14 and 15 and they were trying to face a serious challenge they saw on social networks, but they began to feel bad during class and had to be taken to the hospital .

According to San Bartolomé’s school officials, the accident occurred Tuesday following returning from vacation. The ninth graders began to suffer from a rapid heartbeat, palpitations, headaches, and dizziness, and when the principals discovered what the young people had eaten, they immediately transferred them to a nearby hospital.

At the scene of the accident they were treated by doctors who confirmed that only two students had strong symptoms and had to remain under observation, while the rest were discharged following a few hours.

And the educational institution revealed that during the break, the students ate Viagra mixed with fruit juice, in a challenge on social media that they sought to imitate. The entire setup and consumption process was recorded by another student.

Principal of the school, Astrid Leonor Alvarez, said in a statement: “Due to the situation, the Foundation proceeded to activate the care pathway to resolve atypical behaviors that affect the good image of the Foundation. The incident was dealt with immediately; therefore, the headquarters is operating in full normalcy.” .

The director asked parents to teach young people to use social networks properly so that they do not fall into this kind of challenge that might threaten their health.
