KNOWHERE EP – NEW MUSIC OF THE OFFICIAL SOUNDTRACK RELEASED
Previously unreleased tracks from the multi-award winning video game Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy available to stream
HAMBURG (April 8, 2022) – Starting today, alien techno fans can listen to the electronic music blasting out of the speakers on Knowhere in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: Welcome to Knowhere EP (Original Video Game Soundtrack) features four EDM tracks with breaks, beats, otherworldly vocals and a bass that rocks every dancefloor in every galaxy. Also, by popular request, the EP includes the music from “Huddle” – the escalating, anthemic power rock number – as well as the spaghetti western-influenced music in the karaoke showdown with infamous smuggler Lipless.
Fan-favorite Knowhere is the thriving mining port in the head of an extinct celestial being, full of shops with all sorts of things to do to while away the time. The Guardians visit Knowhere throughout their adventure, giving players an unforgettable and offbeat experience as they explore this infamous destination. Music was a crucial part of bringing Knowhere to life, and each location visited has its own unique sound. Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: Welcome to Knowhere EP (Original Video Game Soundtrack) brings this music together across six funky and wonderful out-of-this-world tracks inspired by alien techno, gritty industrial and new-age synthesizers. sound.
All tracks were written, recorded and produced by BAFTA and IVOR NOVELLO nominated composer Richard Jacques. The bonus EP will be available on all well-known streaming platforms from April 8, 2022.
Jacques commented, “I’m thrilled that fans can now listen to these tracks and experience the full breadth of the music we created for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. I myself grew up with dance and rock sounds as well as with classical music and synthesizers, to name just a few. This game celebrates musical diversity and I have been fortunate to be able to freely compose a soundtrack with Eidos-Montréal that incorporates inspirations, influences and idiosyncrasies found in everyday modern music.”

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC and GeForce NOW consoles. For Nintendo Switch, the game is available as Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: Cloud version.
