In 1981, Prince Charles walked down the aisle for the first time. At that time he took Lady Diana to the woman. In December 1992, the palace announced the royal couple’s separation. In a BBC interview, when asked if Camilla was the reason their marriage fell apart, Diana replied: “Well, there were three of us in our marriage. That was a bit much.” Camilla was no longer unknown to the prince and the media at this point.
Charles and Camilla met many years earlier. They reportedly first met at a polo match in 1970 and began dating shortly therefollowing. But the couple ended the relationship when the prince joined the Navy.
